| Color | Summary: Would be 5 stars except the supplied battery is JUNK and the retail box was not glued well.Explanation:The retail box for this item was not glued together well and had come apart prior to delivery, but the scope did not appear to be damaged. After inserting the battery that came with the scope, I tried to turn on the illuminated reticle, but it didn’t work. I removed the battery and tested the voltage…it was 3.0 volts as expected. Reinstalled the battery as instructed, and still nothing. I promptly returned it to Amazon and requested a replacement. Second one arrived a few days later, same issue with the retail box (ugh!) I inserted the battery and again, nothing. I again checked voltage of the battery (2.95 volts, within specs). I called the Barska support center and the nice lady was surprised when I described the issue to her and that both of my scopes were DOA. She suggested that I buy a different battery (CR2032) and see if that works. I was skeptical since I had already tested the voltage of the supplied battery, but I went to the local store and bought a two pack of batteries. When I installed the new battery, the green illuminated reticle lit up perfectly! Go figure. |

It still hold zero after 100 rounds of 308. I gave it only 4 stars because it has a short eye relief, scope is a bit long and it doesn’t come with flip up caps. Overall value is unbeatable. It is an excellent buy if you have the real estate on your rifle. |
