| Dimensions | Overall, excellent LPVO for the $100-$150 price range. The reticle seems to be engineered primarily for CQB but has MOA subtensions that can be learned and used for holdovers. The etching is done well so when the reticle is not illuminated you can still use it without too much strain. This works better for me than a red dot or holographic because I, apparently, have an astigmatism which I only discovered when I first mounted a micro red dot. At 1x the eye box and relief are excellent and forgiving, which is hard to find at this price point. At 6x it is less forgiving, but that is just how LPVO’s work. The eye relief at max magnification is also less forgiving and takes some getting used to. The adjustment turrets are capped and low-profile. The are tactile and have clear,crisp clicks during adjustment. I expected some mush at this price point but was pleasantly surprised. The reticle illumination is more what I would have expected out of an LPVO at the $500ish price range. Not quite RDS bright but better than I expected. When the illumination does wash out in bright light you still have a usable, clear black reticle.Glass clarity and light transmission are good, better than expected. There is some fishbowl effect at the edges at max magnification. Again, that’s expected. This is a budget, chinesium LPVO, not an Elcan Specter or Nightforce optic. With that being said, I would venture that this LPVO is better than a Monstrum Alpha or one of the low end Primary Arms. I would of rather had a reticle that was designed primarily for some distance and had clear MOA subtensions or maybe some BDC for lateral runners, like the ACSS reticle. Being able to be on hit target moving laterally, running or walking, is a priority and is one of the features that has made the ACSS reticle the go-to for war fighters and black rifles owners whose primary concern is SD/HD/civil emergency/society breakdown. The catch is anything with an ACSS reticle is going to cost a pretty penny.This LPVO was a good buy. It’ll put you out to about 400 yards but also is very well suited for CQB and filling the role of a RDS/Holographic sight. It seems robust but I’ll find out as time goes on. I do wish the battery lasted longer. A better thrown lever would be nice, too. The throw lever is basically a nub and can’t be adjusted without losing your cheek weld and sight picture. It’s a good buy though. |
| Model Number | While this is advertised as “EZshoot”, the manual that comes with it says it is actually “CVLIFE” – although the scope itself has no branding and as far as that goes, it is almost exactly the same scope as the NcStar 1-6 LPVO (they have slightly different end caps and the NcStar’s throw lever is about twice as tall). So, probably all out of the same guy’s garage in China :-). I especially like the reticle this scope uses – even when not illuminated. While I am absolutely NOT a “connoisseur” of rifle scopes, but I find the glass on this to be more than adequate for my uses. | Color | I bought this scope a few weeks ago and loved it but did notice a few imperfections on the reticle, I contacted customer service to see if it was common with the scope, they told me to send a picture to see what I was referring to and immediately responded and stated these imperfections were definately not supposed to be in the scope. They apologized and immediately sent me a replacement which got to me within 3 days of my inquiry! and I dont even have prime š this replacement was perfect, Amazing no hassle customer service! I really like the scope it seems solid built, has clear glass, nice little integrated throw lever and really love the eye relief this scope has. There is a review of this scope on YouTube and decided to try it out also due to it’s great price compared to other 1-6 lpvo’s. I’m very happy with this purchase and now that I know about their amazing customer service I would not hesitate to buy more scopes from this company for my other rifles |
| Material | I have to be honest, I havent used the scope in the field yet. However, I can tell you that its easy to mount and the glass is excellent for a scope this inexpensive. In fact I think the overall quality is as good as some of the scopes on the market that are double in price. I will update my review when I test it out at the range. That was the cause of back spots. Based on my experience, this scope does not seem to hold the recoil of a 223 cartridge. I do not recommend it. |
