| Dimensions | This thing is damn near perfect. Glass is incredibly clear, and good objective and ocular focus adjustments. I was SUPER sceptical about buying a <$100 scope, AND rings, but I really wanted to budget on this beater build. Glad I pulled the trigger! This thing is right up there with my Vortex and Primary Arms Scopes. Turret tracking is pretty darn good too with VERY MINOR deviation. I'm impressed. Took it all the way out to 275 yards today, no problems. I REALLY hope it holds up, time will tell. Not sure how I would feel about beating on it, such as in a combat scenario, but for an every day beater, coyote killer, it will be great.A few cons: I will be replacing the rings with a one piece in the near future. These rings work, if that's all you got, but I prefer to mount my scopes with proper torque (ie not thumb nuts.) Also, the illumination features are neat, but really unnecessary. Although the ice white looking reticle at dusk is pretty sweet. Another con maybe, the size. | Model Number | Excellent Rifle Scope for my AR-15 !!!. I have a more expensive scope that is 6-24 x50 OE power, and it does not transmit light trough the scope like this one does! It actually has excellent light transfer and clear, sharp glass. I can see better through this scope than my more expensive higher powered scope. You don’t need to purchase high profile mounts to clear the picatinny rail or glacier guard. The mounts that come with the scope are perfectly fine. The reticle is very clear, and it has nice line ( | | | ) formatted mil dot markings on the vertical & horizontal cross hairs. The flip up lens covers are very good quality and can be removed or left on. They stay on good and they are convenient. There are push button red & green reticle illumination buttons that you can click on/off or you can hold down on both toggle buttons for 2 (sec.) and toggle through 36 different different colors. This is a great deal. |
| Color | I use ALL UTG scopes, that’s all that’s on any rifle I have from air rifles to my 308 deer rifle and I love them.The UTG 3-12×44 is my favorite it feels the best but that’s probably just because I got a good one. Super smooth and they are all crystal clear for price point. This model is excellent but big so make sure it’s going on something large, I have it on my 308 and I dropped a whitetail this year off shooting sticks from 200 yards no problem. Holds a zero and it’s worth it. UTG stands by their products. Reason for 4/5 is the parallax and other adjustments are very tight and have not loosened with time, not a huge issue but my 3-12 is butter smooth and never moves on its own. The turrets by the way will track back to Zero with no problem. |
| Material | I tried to like this scope i really did UTG customer support is great too however after returning a faulty scope only to receive another faulty scope I’m done selling this thing today.-A little detailGot scope around the end of May 2018. I would go to the range about once a week fire off anywhere from 90-120 rounds each session light duty bench shooting with a .223 AR15. The clarity was great and held zero through out the magnification range. The adjustable objective is accurate out to 100 yards (the max distance ive shot with this scope) and allows for a crisp picture. Never tested tracking howeverSkip around to the beginning of July and my reticle is slowly canting counterclockwise. I had leveled my scope on the rifle in a vice and i did check to see if it was leveled. However on the last range session the reticle canted so far counterclockwise it was at a 45 degree angle. This scope has a lifetime warranty so i sent it back and a couple weeks later i received a new one 200+ rounds and this new scope begins to cant ever so slightly enough to notice.-End note: i like the fact they back it by a lifetime warranty but i don’t trust this product anymore its got to go. Maybe i got 2 duds maybe not but i will not spend anymore time or money trying to get it fixed. I would also wonder about the review score on this product and how many people actually shoot their rifles enough to make a decent review of this scope. |
| Power Source | Clarity is excellent and remains so up to 16x which is not always the case with inexpensive scopes. The parallax adjustment and windage knobs are easy to turn and make adjustment. The elevation knob is quite difficult to turn and make adjustments though maybe this is by design. Adding a 60mm wheel to the distance adjustment knob corrected this completely.The Mil-dots are too small to be usable and so I have to rely on the parallax adjustment when attempting to shoot at targets at varying distances.I like the permanently attached covers which flip up and out of the way when using the scope. I do have to remember to flip them open and later close them before putting the rifle away but at least they should not get lost.Eye relief is excellent and a very big improvement over the $100 Center Point scope provided in the dealer package. This makes it much faster to sight in on a target and take a shot. The mil-dot viewer has made it easy to adjust for distance and extend the range of my rifle with accurate shots. I used medium mounting rings and they were perfect for the profile of this scope.I had looked at much more expensive scopes but now realize that paying more would not have provide me with any real benefits over this scope. |
