| Dimensions | So far I have only sighted it in at the range in the day time. I shot a one inch group at 50yds and about 2″ right of center at 100yds. Have had it out at night looking around. With the illuminator it is very clear out to about 150 to 200yds after that it starts to get a little grainy. Black and white mode at night is best. Had a hard time distinguishing things in the green mode. I’m thinking of using a filter like a sun glass lens on my glasses because it does tend to take away your night vision in one eye. Haven’t had a chance to hunt with it yet so I couldn’t say how long the battery lasts. |
| Model Number | The IR light on my unit was meant to mount to the scope. When it was mounted there, the scatter from the light blinded the scope. Moving the light, (with a 3rd party mount,) down the rifle led to pretty decent illumination, even in virtually pitch black. The zeroing controls are not intuitive. After reading the manual twice, it turned out all the printed instructions were BACKWARDS from the actual adjustments on the scope. So if UP in the manual was a positive number, in the scope it was a NEGATIVE. This was merely annoying. I zeroed the rifle (AR .223 with 18″ heavy barrel.) Confirmed the next day, and it was acceptable – this is not an expensive optic, so I didn’t expect that much. It was within 2 MOA at 100 yards. (I wanted to see in the dark, not set a personal record.) I used the rifle on a few coyote hunts over the next week, but didn’t fire. The next time I checked the zero, it was just gone. Nothing from the zeroing was retained two weeks later. So it’s built backwards, not consistent from day to day, and has to be re-zeroed after every use. And you have to have or buy additional mounts to make the weak IR light work. It’s nothing you want on a rifle. On the other hand, we got some spectacular footage of a black bear on video. That video is fun, but not worth $450. Or $20. AVOID. |

Turned it on and noticed right off the get go the reticle is “Fine” I MEAN QUALITY FINE! way better than the options i got from my ATN X-sight II. The housing is solid, No rattles. The image quality is great and light gathering is phenomenal. Would be really hard to beat for the price. The IR just like anything that comes with Digital NV unit is alright but that is something that can be upgraded based on your needs. Texas Precision was amazing responding to my questions on facebook.
