| Dimensions | We received this order from Amazon a couple of days ago but aren’t pleased with the item it for the following reasons) Lens cap/shade not in the package, clearly advertised to be included with scope according to photos on listing.2) One of the ‘locking’ zero-adjustment windage elevation adjusters doesn’t operate as smoothly as does it’s mate. When pushing/ pulling in/out in order to set windage or elevation, the adjustment knows should operate firmly but smoothly. One operates acceptably, but the other adjuster operates and feels ‘clunky’ for lack of a more precise term.3) The focus and parallax adjustment for this scope are extremely tight and difficult to turn, and unfortunately feels uneven and sometimes gritty in certain places during travel. We purchased a different model of 16×44 scope made by a different factory/company, and all adjusmenters and focus felt smooth, operated without undue effort, as if it had been checked after it was manufactured, before being shipped from the factory Focus adjustments on any scope must always operate smoothly and without a great deal of physical/manual effort on the part of the operator. One- handed adjustment with the ability to easily change focus using the eyepiece lens and the objective lens is paramount when one is holding a rifle in the other hand/arm.Last, the box the scope came in appeared to be a repack; one end was badly taped shut; if not for the tape, the box would have come apart in shipping, and the opposite flap was half open. Really.We’re considering replacing this scope with the same model, in hopes that the problems specified with this unit are a fluke. Like a car made on a Monday or a Friday, sometimes you get a great product, or a buggy one. This was the second attempt to purchase a CVLIFE scope; we return a 6-24-50 CVLIFE scope which refused to focus, and would not hold zero; this unit makes the second try with CVLIFE models. Perhaps the third time will be a charm, if not we’ll move on to a different model and manufacturer. |

For anyone else considering this scope for a Gamo swarm I will warn that it just barely fits due to the 10 round magazine auto load mechanism. I had to use the Gamo scope rings and move the scope as far back as possible. I included a photo.I was able to zero the scope quickly and found that the turrets were smooth and easy to use. I love the way they lock and unlock just by lifting or pressing back down! The objective and zoom are both pretty stiff and is the only reason I knocked one star off, but in reality this really isn’t a big deal. The optic is very clear, fully adjustable and so far holds zero well. If this holds up to the recoils of a gas piston rifle long term, I will certainly purchase again.Some have complained about the flip up lens caps. I found them a bit fiddly, but not bad. At least they stay on and I don’t have to keep track of a removable cap! |
