Does it look like you could hit it? I easily did after I took this picture.I paid somewhere around $43 for this scope. Compared to the hundreds or more for a nice one; this’ll do, donkey, this’ll do. It looks even better at 50 yards. I’ve seen nice scopes; if you have money, a nice scope is a thing of beauty. Move along and pay the big bucks. If you don’t have a ton of money, this will do just fine; as it does for me currently.At first, this scope was blurry, and I couldn’t quite get it dialed to where everything looked good, including the crosshairs. I should add; I am a novice who has no idea what he’s doing.Here’s my advice; when this thing arrives… pop the caps off BOTH ends! Start with the back (farthest from your eye). Adjust that to your distance; try dialing it a little closer than reality (if you’re shooting at 50 yards; experiment with setting that far dial to 40 yards… it might not be marked quite correctly.) Maybe it is properly marked; so try both “right on” and a bit closer or further “just to see”.After you have set the back adjuster; THEN adjust your eye relief (the adjuster closest to your eye). Look through it as you’re adjusting it. The “sweet spot” is easy to blow through… so as things are getting clearer, that’s when you start to slow down. Go super slow. If it gets blurry again, you went too far. Go super slowly the other direction until things look clear. |

Thinking the 6-24 would reach the 200 yds and the reviews I read, I pulled the trigger and bought this scope. It doesn’t reach out to 200 yds as well as the 4-16 already on the gun. I should have paid attention to the review I read saying it was 14 not 24 but I really wanted a 24 that would get me to 200 yds. Should have saved the money to put towards a scope that really is a 6-24. Can’t believe the reviews saying they could see their bullet holes at 200 – 300 yds. Very disappointed that it doesn’t have the power claimed. |
| Color | The Beileshi 6-24X50mm AOEG glass is clear, plus the windage and elevation increments are consistent. I printed a mil-dot target and placed it 100 yards away. The target used for testing was 7.2 inches from top to bottom and from left to right (2 mils). It was 3.6 inches (1 mil) from the center to the edge of the target. This scope is a second focal plane which means the reticle does not change size, the mil-dots are only accurate at a specific magnification, and the reticle should also be consistent at multiples of that specific magnification. The mil-dots were accurate with the scope set at 6X where 3.6 inches would fit from hash mark to hash mark. By moving the scope to 12X, the target should appear to be twice as big. At 12X, I would expect the target to appear to be 2 mils from center to the edge and 4 mils from edge to edge of the target. Doubling the target size didn’t happen until the scope was at 18X. The target should have tripled in size at 18X.The illumination is good on the reticle. The hash marks light up without running beyond the hash marks at low power but the far edges of the scope can get a hazy, bleed-over light.I took the scope to the range to sight in an old Colt AR-15, bore sighted it, and run rounds to the target. The scope increments are ¼” at 100 yards which is 1/8” at 50 yards. First impact was about 4” high of the bulls eye, so I gave it 32 clicks of adjustment and it was very close. The bullets were roughly quarter size at 50 yards and consistent. After moving to the 100 yard range, bullet impact was grouping around 1 ½”. I could see .223 holes at 100 yards.This scope arrived with an instruction manual for more than one type of Beileshi scope but the model I bought was not included. I have no idea if it would work on a larger caliber but it performed well on a gas operated .223. This scope functions as well as I would hope. It’s not designed for competition and the magnification is very questionable but for $50 it meets or exceeds my expectations. |
| Material | 10/14/17 – I bought this scope for better magnification on long shots for Elk as I’ll need to make a few long shots (hopefully) this year. I scoured the web and Amazon comments and read mixed reviews on scopes like these. However many said they placed them on a 308 or 270 and had no issues if good mounts were used. I’ll see how this scope pans out and post an update. I bought this until I save enough for one in the $200-300 range. Perhaps I won’t need to replace it though.On unpackaging the scope appears to be well built, tough and has a very clear sight. I pulled out a Bushnell 3-9×40 Banner scope and confirmed the Beilishi has far better magnification. It is also very clear and easy to focus.I did not use the free mounts that came with it as I already had 1″ weaver mounts on my 1960’s Remington 742 Bushmaster 30.06. The scope is huge compared to my older Bushnell Banner 3-9×40. The fit is extremely tight. I may need to buy a slightly taller mount (1.25″) as the scope slightly rest on a screw on the barrel.I’ll post an update once I take this to the range and use it for hunting. So far, I am thoroughly I impressed. |
