| Dimensions | Update: After using this scope for two deer seasons on my 450 bushmaster I needed to remove it from my rifle. I thought I made a bad shot on a doe the first year when my shot hit high. The next season I missed a deer all together and didn’t know why. I took a shot at my target and I hit 6” high and 2” right at 50 yds. That explained it. So I sighted in again on 4 power and was touching bullet holes. But it was still bothered me how it moved. So I adjusted the power down to two and back up to four. Completely missed a milk jug at 50 yds. Once you adjust the power it moves your point of impact drastically. Going to put it on my 22. Pretty disappointed because I really liked it.This is a lot of scope for the money. Very well made. And no, I’m not going to compare this scope to a $1,500 scope. If you want a good scope without going broke, this one is for you. The clarity is very good, as good as my twice as expensive Burris. I am very impressed with the illumination of the reticle. Whether on red or green, the lowest setting is not overpowering of your target with a Kill light while hunting, unlike cheaper made illuminated scopes. Sighting in was a breeze, positive click adjustments. The reticle itself is sweet, very usable for any situation, close or far. This is my first “first focal plane” scope and I love it. On 1X it is like using a red dot with crosshairs. Great field of view. Some smaller objective scopes are like looking through a key hole, makes the image appear smaller than it is. Not this scope! It is true to size power adjustments maintaining a great field of view throughout. The eye relief is generous and compliments the use of this scope very well in any situation, close or far. It is a bit heavier than I wanted but will gladly sacrifice weight for durability and quality. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Even comes with accessories. | Model Number | Bought the scope on Friday, got delivered on Sunday and I was at the range Monday doping it on my AR. First off, this scopes optics are very clear and the reticle easily acquired even on the lowest setting. I also have another FFP scope on another of my ARs that cost me twice what I paid for this Monstrum and in my opinion, they are very comparable to each other. I laser bore-sighted it at 25 yards, verified zero at 50 yards with a dime sized group and shot out to 100 yards at 4 X with silver dollar groups. I put about 200 rounds down range and the zero held with no issues.The only problem I have scope is that the 1x – 4x adjustment ring is a bit on the tight side and it doesn’t have a ring lever to assist in the power change. I bought one aftermarket and put it on myself.All in all though, this is a very good first focal plane scope for the price. I’m happy with it! |
| Color | I’ll start with the bad. There is definitely something with the reticle. I took it out of the box outside and thought humm not bad but then when checking the zoom I noticed little “blurs” thought it might have been dust on the lens so I took it inside and gave it a further inspection. I noticed there was no fuzz or dust on the glass and gave it another look, you could see something but was not sure what it really was until i tested the illumination, in a lit room on full magnification with the green on you can see that something seems to be pressed between the glass.Now to be fair I do like everything about this so far outside of this and this was a product I bought simply because of the price. I was willing to sacrifice a bit of quality. The pictures don’t really do it justice at all, the glass is surprisingly clear out side of the little starbursts everywhere. This really could have been a good product if one person took the time to actually look down the glass on this.I am gonna try it out and see if it will actually hold zero but my hopes are not high at this point. |

I got mine and instantly thought it was great, I took the covers off to glance down the scope quickly (as I was at work when it showed up). Put it back in the box and put it away. When I finished the rifle it was going on, I thru it on and put a bipod down, laid down to zero it with the bore sight laser. I was crushed to see the glass has a flaw right in the center of the reticle. If you look in the scope at sweet spot, you see 2 images of the horseshoe and a blurry crosshair. It looks worse as you zoom in. It’s like you’re going cross-eyed in a way. The bad part is that I took longer to build my gun than the normal return time allowances. I really wanted to like this, and actually bought this to prove a point to a friend that you don’t always have to pay a pile of cash for good glass…….. Jokes on me this time. I will try to use it anyway. |
