| Dimensions | This seems to be a really good scope for the price. Although the one I received looks like it had been previously owned, there was nothing seriously wrong with it. Just marks on the top (elevation) adjustment screw slot where someone used a screwdriver that was too small to make the elevation adjustment, and some small nicks on the housing and the bottom of the mount from taking it on/off of the rail. The first thing I noticed is that it’s a little heavy, but seems to be well built. The glass is pretty clear even at 10X magnification. The eye relief leaves a little to be desired, I measured it at 1.5″ – 1.75″. The focus adjustment is smooth although a little stiff which is good. There is a very audible click when adjusting the windage and elevation settings that I like. The magnification adjustment is smooth without any noticeable rubbing or grinding. There is a significant amount of ambient light inside the scope when using the lighted reticle that isn’t good. That doesn’t matter at all to me because I doubt I’ll ever use the lighted reticle anyway. The cross hairs could be a little thinner but they aren’t bad. The quick release seems to mount secure but I haven’t had a chance to see how well it holds a zero after removing it and re-installing it. It comes with decent spring loaded lens covers that work well. Over all, for a no-name scope made in China I’m pretty satisfied with the quality. It’s not a bad scope at all if you are looking for an inexpensive scope for your AR15 with a quick disconnect. I’m not going to tell my buddy how much it cost and I’ll just wait to see what he thinks of it. I actually bought it just to see how accurate my AR15 10.5″ barrel pistol is. I’ll be running a red dot most of the time but this will do the job for me without having to take my Nikon off of my AR15 rifle and having to re-zero that one. |
