Additionally I ran through the full range of adjustment and the scope had a few extra MOA on both drop and windage. Clarity is good but I wouldn’t say prefect especially past 8 magnification once it nears dusk. In terms of build strength is really is fantastic. I used it for a 5 day advanced marksmanship course where multiple other users had their scopes break and many of us got our scopes slightly scratched but this scope came out as good as new and I abuse my equipment especially when it has a warranty like vortex.The biggest annoyance on this scope for me was that the hashmarks for both turrets didn’t line up perfectly on zero. Finally I reccomened rings that have a slim profile or you won’t be able to see what your turret is set to.Update 1/31/18I returned the scope due to the fact the vertical hashmarks on the turret consistently didn’t line up. I saw multiple videos online on how to fix this however I am not going to fix a product that should have arrived without issues as basic as this. Additionally at further ranges, 600+ yards, not having a consistent measurement for vertical adjustment became a serious issue. Finally I want to note that while the glass was great, the eye relief, “eye box” and light gathering at dawn/dusk were not what I needed.In a profession where you must engage the target and consistently hold sub MOA regardless of the conditions this scope failed to do the job. As a scope for basic training and everyday use it far exceeded my expectations. Ultimately it failed to meet the demands of more extreme situations though. For the money you will be hard pressed to beat it. However, if you expect this scope to be reliable enough to bet lifes on then this is not the scope for you. |

Returned crossfire and spent an extra $100 on this. Crossfire made in China, Diamondback made in Philippines. I did not find any differences in quality in both. They are both very well made. The Diamondback did have finer and positive audible clicks. The crossfire was a bit mushy. Quality of glass seems to be a bit better then the crossfire. SniperCentral did a review on this glass and had nothing but positive things to say about it. |
