| Dimensions | Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This had good reviews for price so I expected some less than $3k characteristics. First item arrived with the wrong owners manual. Instead of returning or giving poor review I emailed and asked for help. The response was “they don’t have the manual for this model now” although pictures of the manual were taken and emailed. I also found out I was supposed to receive a screw driver which wasn’t there. The directions say not to over tighten and screws so I kept that in mind, the main scope is held in place by a single ring which also has a riser for the red dot. The screws IMHO were put in upside down so that they couldn’t be adjusted once on rifle. I attempted to zero using laser and the wind age was off….no worries there is a set screw you can loosen once zero’d to then move windage knob back to read zero…except there are three set screws…again I put this down to inconvenience and lesser price point. I then zero’d the laser side mount once that happened I kept noticing the windage part of reticle AND laser kept moving off which led me to check the ring and noticed screws upside down. They did seem tight and it was then I noticed the base where the ring mounts into the base was able to be wiggled simply by hand and simple pressure. I checked the tightness (with my own Allen wrench because the correct one didn’t come with the scope) and they were tight. I would have to REALLY torqued down to affect any possible tightening but remembered this was warned against. I never got the chance to even check the red dot although the recommendation to not adjust red dot with out loosening screws on red dot seemed just icing on the cake. This IMHO is such a poor quality product with poor service that I am astounded and very irritated. Texas Optics sent along a note from Sean that if I submitted pics or video and my name and review they would send a $50 check. I doubt I will ever see that check based on this crap optic and my truthful review but hope springs eternal. |
