It is clear and easy to focus. With the money you saved on this scope buy a laser bore sight to help you get on paper faster. The mildot line is clear and not too thick like other cheap scopes. Good little scope to use on a cheap knock around rifle. Buy taller rings if using on a flat top ar. |
| Model Number | I have 3 of the CVLIFE 4X 32 compact scopes on 22 caliber rifles and a 9mm carbine. I have been using them at 100 yards and they work Great. I have also recommended them to friends. They liked them also. Recently a buddy of mine put a 24X scope on a new .22 build he was doing (just because he HAD an extra 24X scope laying around) and I thought, “Maybe I could use a little more magnification”. So I looked on Amazon and found this one with 3-9X. I swapped it out with the 4x fixed focus on my S&W AR-22 (above the stock in the photo) and took it to the range to give it a try. I can only take a .22 out to 100 yards at my range so that is where I normally shoot the .22 caliber rifles at. I got the scope Zeroed in about 10 rounds then started shooting on this target at 100 yards. It was a little breezy and I was shooting Remington Thunderbolts Ammo (Cheap) but it did very well. The adjustment clicks worked as they should and it stayed on target for the entire day. I put over 150 rounds through it with no issues at all. With the extra magnification I can see the hits on the shoot N See target at 100 yards through this scope very well. I Like It! The glass seemed nice and sharp. I could use it all the way out to 9X. Eye relief was decent. I also used it to scan the 200 yard targets and the 300 yard targets. I could see them all very well. I think I will order another one just to test it on a regular AR-15. Can’t beat the Size, the quality or the price. Thanks CVLIFE. |
| Color | Unfortunately I was outside the return window when I finally got this scope to the range.The left/right zero did nothing at first, then after cranking it all the way to one of the stops, it magically started to somewhat work. When first zeroing I was about 6 inches right, cranked a dozen clicks left, hit the same spot, another dozen, same spot, maxed it out, same spot, backed it off all the way in the other direction til I hit the stop, then cranking it back to the left started to move the shots so I could zero. Not a good sign.The more annoying part of this scope is it requires a refocus based on how far you are from the target, and what zoom you are on. And the focus adjustment is not just a quarter turn to get it clear, it’s several full rotations from 25 to 50 yards. If you change from 3x to 5x then your refocusing for 30 seconds to get a clear target again.This one is probably going in the scrap bin, lesson learned about this brand. |
| Material | I wish they had included and I would have paid an extra dollar for the lens shade. The mounts are cheap and I would change them as soon as you could but the mounts that come with the scope are sufficiently tall to use on an AR. I was able to get a clear view of the large screws I hang my keys on at 7 feet at 3X. I will sight it in at 9X because if I do any long range shooting, that’s where it will be set, not worried if it’s drifted off 3/4 inch at 25 yards at 3X magnification. You should not judge this scope by the standard of a scope that’s 16 inches long, you give up something when you shrink it to half size and make it for $30. It would be worth that if you used it as a fixed power scope. |
| Power Source | Well that was a bad idea. To start, I tried this scope on 3 sizes of rings, low to high profile (savage b22 overwatch rifle). I thought maybe it was too high given the starting height of the mounting rail. (Couldn’t find my bore sight laser no matter where I looked or craned my neck.) I went as low as humanly possible. Still no laser in sight. So just for giggles I flipped the scope around to view through the objective lens and ah, there it was, low and to the right. Wayyyyyyyyyy out in negative land but there it was.So then I tried to use the zeroing adjustments for either direction just to see if I could get anything to happen and nope. Over and over I’d start from one stopped direction to the rest and not a movement to adjust in sight.FYI my laser sight is dead on with my 2 handguns so it wasn’t the laser.Pretty sure this was busted from the get go (a couple of small nicks in the frame too).Accuracy didn’t exist and thus no value to speak of. |
