| Dimensions | I bought two air rifles recently and was looking for two scopes to install on them. After searching, I ordered two 6-24x50mm scopes through Amazon based on their customer review ratings. The scopes I ordered ware from Beileshi ($43.99) and Feyachi ($59.99). After comparing these two products, the Beileshi is not as clear as the more expensive one from Feyachi. However, the Feyachi scope did not come with free mounts and battery. Since I decided to return the Beileshi scope, I searched and found this one made by Pinty ($45.99). I will say it’s as good as the Feyachi. It also includes free mounts/battery and has a better price. Therefore, I ordered my 2nd Pinty scope and decided to return the Feyachi as well. After received my 2nd Pinty scope, when doing the sighting, I found both the turrets show “UP”. It’s should be one showing “UP” and the other “L”. So, I took the picture and contacted Pinty’s customer support for this issue. They replied the 2nd day to let me know they will ship me a new scope without returning the one that has the turret issue. It’s a good product with great customer support.Actually, these 6-24×50 scopes look very similar and have the same spec. However, they have slightly different covers. I found the covers on Beileshi and Feyachi can’t hold close sometimes. They can pop opened quite easily. On the contrary the covers on Pinty are tight, but very easy to fall off the scope. Fortunately, both can be fixed easily. I put duck tap at both ends of the scope to increase the diameter so that the covers secure better on the scope. Then, I sanded off a little bit of the plastic edge of the cover which locks the cover in the close position to the tightness I want. In this case, it’s actually better then the loose covers from Beileshi and Feyachi that sometime pops open unexpectedly. Hope this honest review helps if you are looking for a rifle scope like me. |

Other than that not bad.OK for the long answer: I’ll compare this scope ($40), a Simmons Whitetail classic 4-12X40mm ($90), and a UTG 6-24X56 ($200) Clarity: On low and mid power all the scopes are good. On the highest power this scope and (surprisingly) the UTG scope you get (ghost or frost effect) around the edges but the center is ok for clarity. The Simmons won this one. This scope has the old style, end parallax adjustment, so if you leave the flip up caps on you will have to readjust them if you adjust the parallax. The Simmons and the UTG have the newer adjustment on the opposite side of the windage turret. On a side note, I wear contact lenses. I don’t know if this affect the outcome of the clarity comparison. Extras: All come with nice flip up lens covers. DO NOT use the rings that come with this scope. You with go nuts trying to zero it in. For a very good cheap set of ring I got the UTG 1″/2PCs High Profile Picatinny/Weaver Rings ($10). This scope and the Simmons have caped turrets. The UTG has exposed locking turrets. Reticle: This scope has a red/green lit range finder. In my opinion there is too much going on below the cross hairs but it does have three mil-dot up,down, left, and right. The Simmons has an old fashioned non lit 30/30. The UTG has a very fine multicolored 9 mil-dot. UTG won this one but this is a personal preference. I would not use this scope on a bolt gun higher than a .223 or a semi-auto higher than .308. All in all for $50 (this and the UTG rings $10) you will have a decent scope. I have multiple Pinty scopes and lasers. And by the way, Pinty green lasers are unbelievable even in bright sunlight out to about 100 yards. Very easy to set up once you scope is zero in. Their lasers are perfect for home defense. |
| Color | First of all mine would not hold zero at all. My shots would move 4 in either side of zero at 50 yards. My mounts my base everything else was loctite it and secured tightly. Being a second focal plane scope the zero is only good at 1 magnification level. why anybody would make a second focal plane scope with this magnification it’s beyond me other than as a marketing gimmick. This might be a good scope if it was turned into a first focal plane scope, with a decent reticle both things that don’t cost very much money at all. The reticle installed in it is a range finding reticle. Is very reminiscent of some of the old communist Bloc scopes where if you are tank fits between two lines at a hundred yards then it fits between a different set of lines at 400 yards didn’t you know by the calibration of the lines how far away you are Target is rather it’s a tank or a human. The fit and finish are quite nice especially for the cost but the rest of it is just junk and not functional. The only way I could think to resurrect it would be to set it at 6 power and lock it down to that and use it as a deer hunting scope if I could find some way to keep it from losing its 0 constantly. Overall I would not recommend this piece of trash to anybody unless you want to throw away plenty of money on ammunition trying to get it to work right when you could have spent the same amount of money on a quality scope and save the ammunition cost.
