| Dimensions | After a month of owning this scope its time to write a review.Huge scope and looks good mounted on a 7.62×51 Mossberg MVP LC. Glass is clear and the retical is easy to see, red shows better than the green.Looks are deceiving. The rings included are way too high. Could not get it to zero with bore sight and the turret was bottomed out. Had to buy low profile rings.Also, can’t get it to hold zero, at all. Using a bore sight, I sighted in at 200 yards, reverified the next morning before heading to the range and it was already off without firing the rifle.Guess I can give Monstrum a call and a chance to repair or replace it then give an updated review but after so many negative reviews I don’t have a whole lot of confidence.Edit 10/4/2018I am adding stars and I feel like an idiot, I did not realize, the scope mounting rail on my rifle was LOOSE! This allowed the scope to wobble left and right a significant amount, which explains why it wouldn’t hold zero! After properly tightening the rail, the scope now holds zero. |
| Model Number | I was looking for a inexpensive long range scope to put on my 6.5 Creedmoor bolt action rifle. This scope has everything you could ever want for a low price and I read some good reviews about it. This scope was upper easy to sight in and with about 20 rounds down range holds zero and I have no complaints with it so far. The scope rings that come with the scope are very tall but still worked for what I needed. Also the turrets aren’t very stiff, nice audible clicks but you can’t really feel them and the clock happens before the lines line up. For those two reasons I knock one star off my review. Other than that it is a great product. |

| Material | I waited to go out shooting before putting out the review. My initial response to the scope was that it was pretty big but then again, that magnification isn’t going to be much smaller without paying a lot. It did come with elevated rings that seem to be good quality. I think the rings could be slightly longer to hold the scope but it still does it’s job well. The magnification is great. The focus is awesome. The illumination isn’t all that great. If you shoot during the day with cloud cover. You really won’t notice the glow, even on max brightness. I’m very happy that it uses a common battery and they put one in the unit to start with. Zeroing is easy. It holds it’s zero great. I put about 200 rounds in it and didn’t need to readjust. I think the one thing I hate most is that you have to adjust yourself to the scope and it might not be a comfortable position to shoot, just to see. On the plus side, you are forced to use the same sight picture every time. So what is an annoyance, can actually be a time saver. It has an infinity focus! For those who never experienced it. It’s a great focus for long range shooting. The unit itself has no issues. I just think they could make the illumination better. It comes with the honeycomb which is great so you won’t give off a lense glare. The flip covers I think could be better. It takes like no effort to pop them open. I popped them open by accident a few times by barely touching it. You can honestly just find better ones if need be. You have to figure that the quality of the scope is well worth the price. I was torn between this scope and another one. I’m glad I went with this one. It’s light weight in my opinion, considering what you are getting in the scope. I use this on a 5.56×45 and it works fantastic. The range of the scope definitely goes beyond what an effective bullet will go. So should you want to change out your upper receiver to a bigger caliber or use it on multiple rifles, this is the scope to have. I would give this 5 stars but honesty is the way to go. I just think a couple things could be better but they are very minor things. Functionality is a 5 star. |
| Power Source | After watching a few good reviews on this scope I decided to try it out. It arrived in a box with some bubble wrap on one side and nothing else. I wasn’t thrilled about the packaging as instruments of this nature should be taken care of and everyone knows that shipping companies could care less about the boxes they handle. Anyway I mounted it on my .308 AR build and was happy when I had it zeroed in within 4-5 shots! The glass was nice and clear and the fine reticle is great for long range shooting.Unfortunately, by the fifteenth shot the green illuminated reticle started coming on and off by itself and sometimes flickering. Not cool and pretty annoying. Contacted amazon and a new replacement is on its way. Hopefully I just got a bad egg and the replacement is good to go. The scope and it’s accessories are pretty nice for the money and I enjoyed using it for the brief period that it worked. Hopefully someone will pack it a bit better next time. |
