| Dimensions | After buying a Barnett Jackel crossbow and sighting in with the stock red dot I realized an upgrade was needed. The 20 yard and 30 yard dot was dead on but at the 40 yard dot my shots were 9 inches high. This Hawke scope included everything you could ask for. The flip up covers are an excellent bonus and are easy to remove if need be. The scope is super clear and has adjustable occular setting. In the military I work on NVGs and this scope has impressed me. Another great feature is the distance bracket system. The distance between the bottom line in the scope and the distance marks is around 17 inches. After sighting in I tested each of these brackets and it was flawless. I attached photos so you can see the red/green. Keep in mind to render the image my camera was zoomed so the quality is actually much better using the naked eye. I sighted in at 10 yards. 8 clicks down and 8 clicks to the right. Moved to 20-30-40-50 yards. Had to stop using the center bullseye and rotate targets on the block because this scope was splitting my arrows. What a great problem to have! Construction is sturdy, the instructions are clear and the packaging was good. It includes a lens cleaning cloth. Shipped really fast. I would consider using this companys other optics for my firearms. You need to buy scope rings. They don’t come with the scope. The illumination is lazer sharp, can be seen in red or green and can be seen even in bright light conditions. So far after a season and half its stayed put. I have not shot more that 40 yards but has cross hairs for up to 60 yards. It’s also compact, eye relief is pretty good as is edge to edge clarity. I really think you could put this other firearms if you wanted: like a shot gun or muzzleloader. It’s was a little more spendy but I can see why. Really happy with it and recommend it. |
